Press Release: Deacom's ERP Software Chosen to Modernize Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing Operations
WAYNE, PA – May 20, 2014 – Deacom, Inc.
, producer of an ERP software solution
specifically for chemical manufacturing and other process-based manufacturing industries, announced today that BONIDE Products, Inc.
has selected the DEACOM Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to reinforce their operations with a modern technology foundation, and scalable and repeatable procedures that will enable their impending growth.
Bonide Products, Inc. (Bonide) manufactures a broad line of solutions for home, lawn and garden pest problems, including a complete line of green products called Garden Naturals. For over 80 years, Bonide has been a family owned and operated business with a reputation for producing quality, environmentally friendly products with a focus on customer satisfaction.
This passion for their product and loyal customer base resulted in substantial growth for Bonide over the last five years, precipitating them to set a similar growth goal to be achieved over the next 5 years. The ERP system they have had in place for nearly 20 years had not affected the quality of their product or service, but Bonide anticipated that the system’s outdated technology and lack of specific required functionality that was leading them to work outside the system, would ultimately be a hindrance to their growing business. In order to achieve their goals, Bonide knew they must implement an ERP system that strengthens process control, eliminates their need for short-term process fixes, and allows for continued advancement.
Bonide recognized the significant differentiation between DEACOM ERP and the system upgrade offered by the incumbent vendor, citing DEACOM’s modern technology, robust formulation capabilities, built-in Warehouse Management System, real-time access via the iPhone application, evolution through enhancement, and true single system model without the need for bolt-ons or customizations as notable advantages. Additionally, Bonide could see how Deacom would best facilitate the achievement of their growth goals.
“As we always say, Bonide is not just our business; it’s our heritage and our passion, “ said Bonide owner and President James Wurz. “Opting to make the investment in DEACOM, rather than a less costly upgrade to the incumbent system, is a demonstration of Bonide’s long-term commitment to the continued growth and development of our business and product line, and to the loyal customer base we have valued for more than eight decades.”
