Press Release: DEACOM DISCOVER 2017 Sparks New Strategies for Manufacturing Modernization

2017 Deacom User Conference

Chesterbrook, Pa, April 13, 2017: Attracting more than 160 customers, Deacom’s 12th annual user conference attracted a strong mix of c-level executives and management personnel from some of North America’s most reputable manufacturers. With a focus on modern technology and processes, attendees gained tangible value as it relates to their industry, role, and DEACOM ERP experience level.

The purpose of DEACOM DISCOVER is to not only educate users on how to improve their use of DEACOM ERP, but also so the Deacom team can gain insight into how the ERP system can be enhanced. This year, the Deacom Community proved, once again, how valuable their perspective is to the evolution of Deacom’s software.

New to this year’s event, the ERP provider offered a full day of pre-conference training sessions where customers could strategize one-on-one with Deacom team members. These meetings drew the interest of those new to the DEACOM software, planning to implement a new capability of DEACOM (like MRP or Ecommerce), or just wanting to touch base with their Deacom resources.

The following three days consisted of back-to-back workshops led by Deacom’s implementation and development experts. While the “What’s New” classes remain the most anticipated year after year, more specialized sessions sparked great conversations within the Deacom community. Some examples include: Nutritional Fact Panels, Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts, SDS Forms, Ecommerce, and Mobile.

Below are some of the feedback gained from the post-event feedback survey:

“It’s great to have the opportunity to network with peers. Even though they are not all from the same industry, we all have the same process from setup to implementation. I learned a lot from all of them.”

“The value of this year’s conference absolutely justified the investment. We had a team of five attend the conference and all of us took something from the classes as well as side discussions.”

“I thought it was extremely valuable to be able to connect with other customers and align some of our requirements so we can work with Deacom to design a solution.”
